Weaving has a long history as an important medium for sharing stories.
Everyone has some relationship with textiles, and for many, these materials are intimately tied to meaningful memories.
Through this project, we aim to highlight the many ways textiles touch our lives and connect us. Join us as we create a collective tapestry woven from shared stories.

Members of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia will be in the Gallery, sharing their expertise with various types of rug hooking. Touch, see, and try working with rug hooking materials to get a better understanding of this textile practice.
About the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia:
The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia has supported Rug Hookers in the Maritimes and beyond since 1979. Rug Hooking has evolved and allows the artist to experiment and dream. Rug Hookers enjoy the camaraderie of fellow artists through hook-ins, and special events. We are inspired by one another!
