Plan Your Visit

Starting December 2, 2024, some of our gallery spaces will be impacted by required maintenance and unavailable to the public. These spaces will look to reopen in early spring. 

The Scotiabank Maud Lewis Gallery, the Nova Scotia Art Bank and Léopold L. Foulem exhibitions, Mike MacDonald’s Touched by the Tears of a Butterfly, as well as Marman & Borins: Three Dimensions on the lower level, will remain available to the public. The AGNS Gallery Shop and studio spaces will also remain open.

Street parking is available throughout downtown.

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia does not maintain public
parking and is not responsible for ticketing, associated costs, or impoundment.

Accessibility

The AGNS is wheelchair accessible. If assistance or a wheelchair is required, please visit our information desk. Service dogs are welcome. All other animals (including therapy animals) are not permitted.

Please note that backpacks, food, drinks, large bags, and umbrellas are not permitted in Gallery spaces. These items must be stored in our coatroom and lockers are also available. Photography is allowed, without flash.
