School Visits

Connecting students with art can inspire new ways of thinking about the world around them. Teachers and students are invited to explore the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s dynamic exhibitions and works from the Permanent Collection on view in both Halifax and the Western Branch in Yarmouth. School visits are available in both locations throughout the school year.
Teachers can choose different experience options including self-guided tours or tours led by our knowledgeable guides.

School visits must be booked at least three weeks in advance. Teachers are encouraged to check out our current and upcoming exhibitions to learn more about what’s on view, in order to better plan your tour. Each group is limited to 30 students and must be accompanied by at least one adult for every five students.
If you’re interested in bringing a school visit to the Gallery, please fill out the online booking form.
