2023 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchases

The 2023 Nova Scotia Art Bank Purchases Exhibition includes the works of 17 Nova Scotian artists whose artworks were chosen by a peer assessment committee of professional Nova Scotian artists through the Art Bank Purchase Program. Since 1975 this program has encouraged the development of artistic excellence and stimulated awareness of visual arts and fine craft throughout the province. Comprised of close to 2,400 works of art, the artworks in this collection are owned and maintained by Arts Nova Scotia.

The artworks selected through the 2023 program consist of a range of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, beading, embroidery, and rug hooking.

Artists included in this exhibition: Carrie Allison, Bonnie Baker, Cecil Day, Louis-Charles Dionne, Hannah Epstein, Luke Fair, Rebecca Fisk, Jesse Fraser, François Gaudet, Kaas Ghanie, Takashi Hilferink, Mike Kasongo, Steph Kincade, Shauna MacLeod, Ruth Marsh, Amy Rubin, and Sorrel Van Allen.
