Group Visits
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is a great place to bring your organized group. You’ll learn, explore, and be inspired through art. Please fill out the Group Visit Inquiry Form below and we will get back to you within five business days. In order to receive the group admission rate, your group must book prior to your visit.

Group Visit Options
Self-Guided Visit: Explore at Your Own Pace
- Welcome & Orientation: Begin with a brief introduction and store personal belongings in a secure location.
- Independent Exploration: Enjoy 60 minutes (or more) of self-directed discovery through our galleries, with the option to use our Multipurpose Room for self-led creative activities.
- Flexibility: Groups are welcome to take additional time to explore exhibitions at their own pace.
- Cost (includes HST): $13 per adult (ages 18+); $8 per youth (ages 6-17); Children 5 and under and group leaders/organizers receive complimentary admission.
Perfect for: Groups seeking a flexible, relaxed visit with light support from AGNS staff.
Guided Gallery Experience: Discover the Stories Behind the Art
- Welcome & Orientation: Begin with a warm welcome and place to store personal belongings.
- Thematic Guided Tours: A 60-minute guided experience, tailored to your group’s interests. Select two exhibitions to focus on when booking.
- Independent Time: 30 minutes of additional self-directed exploration in the galleries.
- Cost (includes HST): $18 per adult (ages 18+); $12 per youth (ages 6-17); $4 per child 5 and under. Group leaders and organizers receive complimentary admission.
Perfect for: Groups looking for a deeper connection with the art through storytelling, dialogue, and guided discovery.

- Maud Lewis Gallery – Step into the joyful world of Canada’s most beloved folk artist, exploring her vibrant paintings and the restored Maud Lewis House.
- Ta’n a’sikatikl sipu’l | Confluence – Celebrating Indigenous creativity and dialogue across generations, where First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists explore memory, sustainability, and community.
- From One to Many Natures – Diverse artists exploring nature, identity, and culture.
- Blacklight (until March 15, 2026) – Exploring the rich complexity of Black Canadian identity through figurative and abstract art.
- Other touring and temporary exhibitions.

Additional Information
- Price is per participant, taxes included. Group leaders and chaperones receive complimentary entry.
- Group size is minimum 8; maximum 70
- To ensure a comfortable and engaging welcome, the orientation works best with up to 20 participants at a time. Larger groups can be split into sub-groups.
- Cash or credit card upon arrival or invoice post visit (terms: net 30).
- Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance in writing to info@agns.ca.
- AGNS is wheelchair accessible, with elevators and accessible washrooms. Service animals are welcome
