Respectful Place Policy

The AGNS Art Camps are an environment of respect. This means we respect others, our materials, and our space. We ask that you go over the following policy with your camper(s) before camp starts.

Respecting Others

  • Listen when others are speaking.
  • Use kind words.
  • Don’t touch other people’s artwork.
  • Share materials and toys (but not food!).
  • Practice asking consent! If we haven’t asked for consent—we keep our hands to ourselves. If we’ve asked and received a “no”—we keep our hands to ourselves. This applies with other campers, AGNS staff, and instructors.

Respecting Our Materials

  • Art supplies are for creating, not destroying. Please treat supplies as if they are your own, use them as intended, and be mindful, not wasteful.

Respecting Our Space

  • Do not run in the Gallery or studio spaces. By walking we keep ourselves and the art in the Gallery safe. We can run and play outside during breaks!
  • Do not touch the artwork in the gallery. Fingers prints over time can damage the artworks.
  • Be quiet while walking through the Gallery. Talking about the art is an important
  • part of the Gallery experience, but we must be mindful of other visitors enjoying the Gallery too.
