DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the sweeping landscapes and colourful skies in the Group of Seven paintings\, we are excited to offer a half-day workshop with fibre artist Nancy Keating creating needle-felted landscapes. You’ll take home a beautiful and unique artwork at the end!  \n\n\n\nNo previous experience required\, all materials provided. Tickets are $90.  \n\n\n\nAbout the Artist \n\n\n\nArtist Nancy Keating makes art from tiny bits of wool and silk fleece. A graduate of NSCAD University and the Banff School of Fine Arts\, Nancy’s work has been exhibited in galleries and collections across Canada. SUMMARY:Make Day! Wet Paper Painting
DESCRIPTION:Try a new technique used by the artist David Milne- playing with ink on wet paper! Visitors will have a chance to discover this wet-on-wet watercolour process and create a work of art to take home with them. Process-based activity\, play and explore and discover new and unexpected ways to make art! Abstract or still life- up to you! \n\n\n\nWork independently\, or with your small group\, this program is great for children ages 5+ with an adult. Drop-in\, included with the price of admission. \n\n\n\nAbout the program: \n\n\n\nMake Day is a studio program for emerging artists of all ages! Designed as an intergenerational art workshop\, these sessions lead participants in a short art lesson that introduces an art technique or process\, resulting in a fun art piece you can take home. A great way to get connected\, inspired\, and creative with friends or family. Each month’s activity is inspired by works in an exhibition currently on view.

SUMMARY:Kids Workshop Series - Creative Colours
DESCRIPTION:Calling all young artists! Join us for a six-week session with artist educator Rosemary Young as we focus on painting! Explore watercolour and acrylic paint\, but also fibre and air dry clay too!  \n\n\n\nWorkshop Details \n\n\n\nSaturdays from January 20 – March 2\, 2024. Please note: there will not be a session on February 17.10am-12pm\, ages 5-81-3pm\, ages 9-12 \n\n\n\nWorkshop series is $150 for six sessions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Artist \n\n\n\nBedford artist and educator\, Rosemary Clarke Young\, has taught children’s art classes\, both privately in her home studio and in local schools since 2008. Though mostly retired from teaching now\, she does occasional workshops and AGNS art camps. She works in watercolour batik\, oil\, pastel and encaustic and exhibits her work in galleries and shows\, primarily in the Maritimes\, including the Teichert Gallery.
