DESCRIPTION:Join artist Tayla Paul for an in-depth printmaking workshop. This linocut printing technique will be used to make holiday cards\, using words or imagery that inspire you. Each participant will design and carve their own image\, and have a chance to make a set of 4 cards. Great gifts for the holiday season! \n\n\n\nNo previous experience required\, all materials provided. Tickets are $90. \n\n\n\n\nGet Your Tickets\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Artist\n\n\n\nTayla Fern Paul who is a Mi’kmaw artist\, activist and metal fabricator. A member of Pictou Landing First Nation\, she grew up in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) where she currently resides. She has exhibited works in Halifax; at Nocturne; and recently completed a mural for Paint the Street Placemaking Project as well as taught art on reserves in Unama’ki (Cape Breton). Born in Kjipuktuk and raised in Mtaban (Wolfville)\, Tayla returned to Kjipuktuk after traveling as a youth to remain on homeland. Tayla has also done public speaking on issues of social and environmental justice. She has four children\, and is the daughter of artist Leonard Paul.
