Art museums preserve and care for artworks so generations of people can learn from\, engage with\, and be inspired by them. \n\n\n\nCreate your own art and add it to the Shared Collection. Look through the collection and select other visitors’ artworks to display – creating your own exhibition. Always something different to see so come back often! \n\n\n\nThis drop-in art making space is open during regular Gallery hours and is included in the price of admission.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of short films by Kent Monkman\, a featured artist in the exhibition Generations: The Sobey Family and Canadian Art. \n\n\n\nKnown for his provocative interventions into Western European and American art history\, Monkman is passionate about art and profoundly aware of how colonialism had affected Indigenous communities. \n\n\n\nWith topics of colonization\, sexuality\, loss\, and resilience\, experience another angle of Monkman’s work through film after enjoying several large-scale paintings in the Gallery.
